Kels is a 24 year old college dropout and current gig worker for the Coriolis corporation. After dropping out from UC Tranquility's engineering physics program, she found the platform Gigify, an app that lets anyone commision a gig from Coriolis freelancers

She is generally reserved, but she can have a short temper when things don't go her way. Despite being very educated, she often feels stupid. She worries that she is falling behind in life. Her dream career is to be a physicist, but a part of her wonders if she will ever be good enough to get there.

Kels's parents worked on the ELSA project, but both went missing soon after the project was abandoned. She's an only child and was raised on Earth, in the Neo-Douglass Commonwealth district of the American Eastern Sprawl.

Kels doesn't know what she wants to do with her life, but she knows she doesn't want to die on GAIA. She wants to move back to Earth and have a place to call her own. She wants to start a garden.

Kels transitioned as a teenager. Her favorite book is Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, her favorite movie is the 2099 Interstellar reboot. She loves birds and indie psychedelic pop music.

She briefly worked as a delivery pilot for Coriolis, operating a Class-3320 vessel, "Frogger," but quit after a week because she developed a phobia of space.
